On the day that US religious huckster Billy Graham died, I read a chapter in Kurt Andersen's book, "Fantasyland: How America Went Haywire," Andersen's take on Graham: "The Archbishop of Mayberry."

I haven't thought about Billy Graham in awhile, but my recollection is the same as yours, Geoff - he was somewhat of a huckster. Yet, history seems to be rewriting his life now that he is dead because all I read about is how wonderful he was. Weird.

I did find this in the Guardian so I don't feel so crazy.
