Another gaffe: In a London 2012 Olympics Ladies' Football (soccer) game the South Korean flag was flown instead of the North Korean flag. Whoops!

This was international news. Maybe someone was trying to tell Kim something. Wink

Wow, that is a gaffe! Arnie, do you know what the best app is about the olympics? I know there are a lot out there, but I wanted something general that would keep me updated.

More Olympian gaffes:

ROMNEY: “It’s hard to know just how well it will turn out. There are a few things that were disconcerting: the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging.”

CAMERON: Of course it’s easier if you hold an Olympic Games in the middle of nowhere.

COMMENTARY BY A TUFTS PROF OF LAW & DIPLOMACY: [re: 'disconcerting'] If that’s considered rude, God forbid that David Cameron watch ‘The Daily Show'.. Cameron was far more rude, because he suggested Salt Lake City was ‘in the middle of nowhere'.

Reading up on dad George's '68 bout w/presidential politics (wiki): "The qualities that helped Romney as an industry executive worked against him as a presidential candidate; he had difficulty being articulate, often speaking at length and too forthrightly on a topic and then later correcting himself.. Life magazine wrote that Romney 'manages to turn self-expression into a positive ordeal'.. The perception grew that Romney was gaffe-prone.."

Had Romney Sr gotten the nomination he then would have had to deal w/'birthers' (born in Mexico) Wink

The funny part of Romney's gaffe is that he made it into a " flip-flop ," which he is well known for.
