| Authorise is ecxactly what I had in mind.
There's another possibility, but I don't like it: thioureas. It's too technical, unless you're an organic chemist. Even then it's too technical.
Okay, you're up. |

| And, your bonus Jumble word for the day:
QUEENLISASAIDP
I hadn't heard of "thioureas," though I may have just forgotten it. Yet, I did note the word "urea." Curiosity question: do you write "authorise," or did you just spell it that way to throw us? |

SESQUIPEDALIAN
I generally spell "authorize" myself, but "thesauri" has an S, not a Z, and so when I added the O it had to be "authorise". I didn't use Eastpondian spelling to mislead; you gave it to me that way!

or- maybe - Kalleh, did you get them from RE ? |

According to Oxford, peruse means "to read or study, especially thoroughly or carefully". And I believe Oxford in preference to the eponymous Carolyn.

This post in the egregious thread was the first recent apearance of "sesquipedalian" in conjunction with "peruse," and I wondered if that wasn't the source of your Bonus Jumble. Didn't know whether he got it from you, or you got it from him, or simply great minds are thinking alike.! Happy New Year, all! DUALSLANGNEY(I know, it's cheating, but still...) Ohhhhh! A little dense here in Kalleh-land! Yes, that most definitely was a piece of cross-threading. Love that word "sesquipedalian," though! Auld Lang Syne, and a little history of it. GMEHNPACA |

GNUDIST is all we had here. I'm happy to say.
(I think Richard was to have been made eager by simply contemplating the place that makes the vessels that hold the beer - the STEINERY.
Although my first thought would be of the place that makes the fancy pianos...) |
