I owe y'all all one.

(Actually I owe y'all all two, but here's one at a time)

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pick yer favorite: [It's probably been so long that you've even forgotten which one(s) is(are) yours!]

1.
Though I've lived all over before
In Hell's Kitchen and Tombstone and more
Goblintown and Skull Creek
I've now found what I seek
And settled for blood... I mean good here in Gore.

(Note - Goblintown is in Virginia, Skull Creek is in Wyoming, Hell's Kitchen and Tombstone I am sure you know already)

2.
There was an codger of Gore
Who had a deplorable snore
His snores shook his bed
Shook him out on his head
He no longer snores anymore.

3.
Though I used to reside down in Gore
I do not live there any more
I've not moved, no instead
I am simply quite dead
I was killed by the vampire next door.

4.
An unpleasant fella from Gore
Had faults we just couldn't ignore
So we drew lots to see
which one it would be
To go visit and Give him What For...

5.
He came to the small town of Gore
He started his own private war
He maimed and he slew
And when he was through
There was blood and destruction galore

6.
I once met a lady from Gore
Whose house had a simple dirt floor
Woven willow her bed
Only thatch overhead
She swore that she didn't need more

7.
The sad day that the Sprungers reached Gore
Is burned black in this village’s lore
Folks would soon sadly learn
How fire trailed them in Berne…
Then the Gore orphans went through their door…

8.
When I moved to my home here in Gore
I found there were rumours galore
Of an ax-wielding clown
So I said with a frown
"I am sure you have room for one more!"

9.
I happened to meet, up in Gore,
A lovely high-spirited whore
Her off’rings and games
Had fun-sounding names—
I went with the Four-on-the-Floor.

10.
There once was a fella from Gore
Whose monotonous voice made me snore.
He'd drone on all the night
(Ignoring my plight!).
This man was one Helluva bore!

...and a Happy New Year, everybody!

Several good ones here, so worth the wait. Considering that they were mostly halloween lims, I'll go for 8.

8 and 9 are tied. Who has 8 and who has 9? First to speak up gets to do the next one. I am dying to write another limerick! Smile

Well as eight was mine and I voted for nine, I suppose I could do it. If that's OK with whoever wrote nine.

P.S. bethree5 - Are the Sprungers people we should know? (Aside from the 23,054th most common surname in the United States, belonging to 1109 individuals, according to the 2010 US Census.) Am I missing something?

No, Xi won. Hu's nowhere to be seen.

I say let B35 pick the next location. It might keep her active here. Bob's going to be here either way.
