INTO ATRIUM

Well, it's close to MORATORIUM but it isn't

and MICTURITION is off by a couple of letters

and it's almost MATURATION but it isn't that either

and it's swimming in almosts but it's equally not NATATORIUM

and I've been going over all kinds of possibilities again and again, but even RUMINATION doesn't quite make the grade.

Whoops! Red Face

Sorry, the word I intended was MATURITION. However, when I look it up at Dictionary.com, I find it's spelt MATURATION.

Try this one instead (I checked the spelling this time!)

ENTICE COD

First thoughts:

ENTICE COD

It's OCCIDENT + E

It's also DECOCTION + E - O (but you checked the spelling. Too bad. Nice word!)

And it's CO-INDECENT - N (the couple caught in flagrante delicto)
as well as COINCIDENT with a few more pluses and minuses. This is going backwards, not ahead!

BILGEWATER it is. As two words it means the (usually dirty) water found in the hold of the boat. As one word it's more like "balderdash!" or "Bah, humbug!"

I think you're up! Smile
