Since we no longer have a Community section like we used to have, I'll put this here. I miss that section!

So sorry that I have been missing in action for so long. It all started when I was a pedestrian hit by a car and in rehab for months. But I am doing very well now because of the fabulous health care I received. However, then Shu broke his cervical vertebrae, and that has kept us busy, as well. Your life just moves in different directions. I realize we don't have many posters any more, but that has never bothered me because the people who are here are fabulous. Thanks so much for the nudges you have been giving me - and I will be back. This has been such a special place. I have read some of your posts and limericks tonight, and they are exceptional, as usual. Thank you!

Hab mentioned to me that the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune might explain your absence, and he was right! Very glad to see you back!

I can certainly sympathaize with Kalleh and Shu. I spent a long time in cognitive rehab and vestibular rehab in 1991. Couldn't work for two years. Glad your recovery was much quicker!

BTW, Kalleh, was the driver liable? If so, did he/she/they have insurance?

Bethree5, have you submitted a good limerick for Burton?

1.
Elizabeth Taylor...Dick Burton...
Were they lovers? I'm really not certain
But of this I am sure:
That despite her allure
She would never have laid Thomas Merton !

2.
I once met a young gal in Burton
Directly she started a-flirtin’
She led me on
Till my money was gone
Now my heart and my pocketbook’s hurtin’

3.
A chili feed out in Burton
Left me a-heavin' an' squirtin'
It wuz like eatin' fire
But I sure ain't no liar
Tomorrow I'll be back fer certain!

4.
An eager young laddie named Burton
Meant to marry his lassie for certain.
At least that's what he thought
But it all came to naught
When he found out that she was just flirtin'.
