World Wide Words has a feature in which it quotes passages which are amusing because of unintended double meaning or ambiguity.

I sent Micahel Quinion the following gem which I'll show here just in case he doesn't get to use it.

The following article appeared in Travel Weekly on 17 May.

"First Choice has paid out £2,600 in compensation to three children who suffered burns after an electric current surged through a swimming pool...A spokeswoman said that the cause of the incident was rectified immediately"
