Going through all those old posts has made me feel quite nostalgic. Of course this modern nostalgia isn't as good as the nostalgia we used to have in the old days.

I have deep nostalgia for the mid-1950’s when I had to trudge through snow uphill for miles to get to school. Oh wait it was just 1/4 mile—and it was downhill. (But of course uphill on the way home). And then there were the terrible years when I had to walk a HALF mile! [to the bus stop… but that was a straightaway]. You’re right, Bob: nostalgia ain’t what it used to be.

My dad used to say things like that. One of his favourites was "they should hammer all the uphills flat and just leave the downhills as they are". Big Grin
