Speaking about the issues being experienced by the new Boeing 787 airliner a talking head on the TV news said "Ground-breaking new planes almost always have initial problems." Not the best choice of metaphor! Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

One might even say, planes that break the ground ALWAYS have problems, final as well as initial. Those talking heads!

Maybe the talking head thinks it's a bomber? It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. -J. Krishnamurti
