It was in a play area, and somebody was obviously playing.

Damn! Now somebody wants to tax wildlife! This found in an on-line news article: Chicago Tribune

Beavers will not take stand in tax evasion trial

Now, what self-respecting beaver would live in Chicago anyhow???

What's the point of taxing wildlife? I don't get it.

Remember who lurks on this site. Wink

I know that Chicago just rated the 4th most miserable city, but this article from the Chicago Tribune articulates perfectly why I love this city.

A Britsh man, born without a penis, is having one constructed using parts from his arm. That should be handy.

The Swedish Language Council must be taking notes from the French! http://venturebeat.com/2013/03/26/ungoogleable/

PS, Kalleh, the "Beavers" bit was a joke. There's someone named Beavers, but the headline doesn't tell you that.

Oh, I know, Geoff. I had been wanting to post about that survey anyway, and that comment gave me the chance. Wink

Just heard on HBO show "Veep" last night: 'I'm binging it right now'. I wonder how much bing paid them for that?

Maybe I'm just tired, but it's not a very clear sentence. I am not sure what this means

Mongrams Comfort Foods will soon be no more along with the 87 people who work there.

The last sentence is rather obscure, as well.

Riggin Dairy's office building was beautiful, but it was recently down down. Some Greek outfit did it: Edifice Wrecks.

The camel was a gift to the French prez from the citizens of Mali. He left it with a foster family in Timbuktu while he prepared to have it shipped to French territory. While he dithered, the family decided the camel was too much trouble and slaughtered it for dinner. At the same time, a Mali refugee has come forward claiming the camel was stolen from him after a French air raid destroyed his house.

Slow news day?

It's interesting how there are two colors attributed to elephants - pink and white.

While pink elephants are often associated with drunkenness, National Geographic published some pictures many years ago of actual pink elephants in the wild. Apparently a herd of African elephants found themselves by a river with banks composed of a reddish soil. Elephants like to toss dirt on their backs, perhaps as a sun screen, and when the red soil dried, it turned the animals pink for a while.
