A poster at my local railway station gives details of some weekend engineering work that will cause the temporary closure of some lines. It ends with the sentence "Southeastern Trains regrets any inconvenience this may cause to your journey."

Surely I would be the one being inconvenienced, not my journey?

Hmmm, I thought you were going to say it should have been "Southeastern Trains regret," but then I guess it's the company that regrets and not the trains. Wink

I suppose I see their point about causing an inconvenience to your journey, but it could have been stated better, I know.
