I considered bringing up one of the older threads on phobias, but within them I found only a few coinages, and so I thought a new thread was called for. If I'm wrong, Arnie, please make it as it should be.

I enjoyed the humorous "made-up" phobias I heard on radio this morning in honor of Friday the 13th. My favorite refers to a fear of balloons popping, which the DJ dubbed "spontaneous bustophobia."
