At a concert tonight, the musician joked around alot with the audience. It was my favorite kind of concert - very laid back. Anyway, she felt that she needed to sneeze at one point and got to talking about sneezing, and said "I call sneezes orgasms of the nose." I thought you all might enjoy that turn of phrase.

Interesting, CW. I went to the OED to see if there were other definitions for "orgasm," beyond the sexual one. I found these 2:

1) from 1684: " A sudden movement, spasm, contraction, or convulsion"

2) from 1646: "Violent excitement; rage, fury; an outburst of excitement or rage."

The sexual definition was listed as being from 1754.

Well then, it's an older definition but it fits, yes?
