An occasional thread, to which anyone may add, for word-related comments heard on the Simpsons TV show. (No fair looking them up online; you have to hear them. Smile)

  • Homer is skeptical about the new educational institution in town, called the Knowledgeum. He says, "Good things don't end in -eum. Good things end in -mania or -teria."

  • Bart and his pal steal the master key to all local buildings, and in the middle of the night they use it to open the store where toys are sold. As the door opens Bart is awed by the bounty before him, and reverently mutters, "The world is my toy-ster!"

I've always enjoyed "Camus can do, but Sartre is Smartre!" This is Homer's response to a joke with "Good as Gould" as the punchline.

Homer: Fame was like a drug, but what was even more like a drug were the drugs.
