There are 2 popular pieces of software being used in the classroom: "Captivate" and "Elluminate." Captivate is a real word, but any idea how the word "elluminate" was coined? When I first heard it, I thought they had just misspelled "illuminate."

They probably chose the strange spelling to facilitate trademarkification.
