Initially very funny - but it made me try, but fail, to the remember the term for multiple sensory stimulation, i.e. seeing sound, feeling sight, etc. It really does happen with some people. What's the word I can't remember?

It's synesthesia in the US but 'synaesthesia' in the rest of the English-speaking world. See Wikipedia. Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.
