A famous advertisement came out just after the War with an ambiguous use of the pronoun "it." Yet, its very presence ensured that the advertisement has never been forgotten. Simply the advertisement read: "Don't kill your wife with work - let electricity do it!" Any other funny examples of misuses of pronouns? Or just plain funny examples of writing? In looking for misplaced pronouns, I found this: "Sorry to hear you narrowly escaped death."

Oh, now that is hilarious! It reminds me of some humorous examples I have seen of student nurses' charting.
