Reading this story reminded me that as a child I once used the same word, which I had heard at school, at home, under the mistaken impression that it was the same as "twit". Got a good hiding for that off my Dad who was very anti-swearing.

(I only ever heard him swear once - when we got up one morning after a night of heavy storms to find that every single pane of glass in his greenhouse had blown out and broken. In the circumstances I think that I can forgive him.)

Reminds me of when one airline decided to try to make more money on beverages by selling their own brand. But that ended the first day when the stewardess asked the first customer, "Do you want Coke, coffee, or TWA tea?"
