Apparently there is a war between the word "migrant" (bad word) and "refugee" (good word) in Europe.
quote:
Al-Jazeera last week announced that it will stop using the word migrants in its news coverage, saying it doesn't describe the "horror unfolding in the Mediterranean," where almost 2,500 people have died this year after leaving Turkey or North Africa on overcrowded boats.

Donald Trump would be mad about this political correctness discussion. Wink

/a refugee is someone wandering your country seeking asylum. a migrant is a refugee who wants your job. Or so says the Donald.

"Trump" is not his real family name. "T" is his middle initial. You can guess the rest.

As the article says, it all comes down to pushing or pulling. I'd say they are being pushed out. Isn't it interesting, though, that it all comes down to the word used? I've seen lots of articles calling them "migrants."
