I cannot seem to get a clear fix on how "physcosymatic" is spelled. I want to use it in something I'm writing, but dog gone it all every source I check spells it differently. If anyone could help out I'd be most appreciative.

The mnemonic I use for the first few letters is:

Jerry: Thank you so very much!

Richard: I will never have trouble spelling it now. Greatly appreciated.

Also, in spelling it correctly, it might help to remember that "somatic" is a Greek derivative referring to the body (physical, as opposed to mental). It is my understanding that psychosomatic symptoms are psychological disorders manifested as physical symptoms. As a nurse, I consider somatic pain as discomfort occuring at the site of an injury (as opposed to deeper "visceral" pain - involving organs, for example, or "neurological" pain - relating to nerves and neuropathways).
