Is this the newest round in the old nature/nurture debate, or just a new name for it?

Wow, I thought I answered this post. My reply must not have taken. Anyway, I don't see epigenetics as nature vs. nurture. I don't know a lot about this field, but it seems to be the study of heritable gene expressions that are not related to the DNA sequence. However, it was interesting to read that epigenetics show that mechanisms can enable the effects of parents' experiences to be passed down to subsequent generations. That does sound close. It sounds like an interesting field.
