I read this in today's newspaper:

"Once you've done your best to "Swiffer" that situation, please take a close look at your own life and marriage."

Now, I couldn't find "Swiffer" in dictionary.com or onelook. However, when I went to Google, I see that it is used to dust. That context seems correct. Have any of you seen this word used like this?

I think we can buy Swiffers in our UK supermarkets - they are disposable cloths for dusting. Will this be an example of a trade-name joining the language?

So, swiffers are even across the pond, huh? I guess my cleaning habits are old fashioned!
