This is inspried by Asa's What's in a name?" thread in Wordplay. There he asks for names that are particularly apt, such as the specialist in pain and palliative care, named "Dr. Payne". In the same manner, what are some redundant names such as: -Sahara Desert --"sahara" itself is arabic for "desert", I understand. The term for such a redundancy is on the tip of my tongue. Help!

All I can think of is an internal tautology, or pleonasm.

Following my own odd reasoning, when a single celled organism divides, is that a cytoplasm pleonasm? ![]()
