I was recently at a conference where the speaker talked about no "CPA," which apparently is "continuous partial attention." Have you heard of it? It refers to texting, checking Blackberries and iPhones, emailing, etc., during meetings.

Yes, I thought certified public accountant, too, but the speaker seemed to think everyone knew what it meant.

Always use the entire title before using the abbreviation. Then everyone will be on the same page.
