Here is a very interesting discussion about "dord", a word that was erroneously included in the Webster's dictionary (scroll down about 2/3 of the way). Are there other dictionary errors? Now, mind you I don't think this happened...but I suppose it could have been the problem with Bailey including "epicaricacy." | ||

There are plenty of errors in some of the online dictionaries, due to problems scanning the original printed versions. There were dicussed in this thread. "Dord" is a fairly well-known error and is shown as true in Snopes. Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life. | |||
