Here is a very interesting discussion about "dord", a word that was erroneously included in the Webster's dictionary (scroll down about 2/3 of the way).

Are there other dictionary errors? Now, mind you I don't think this happened...but I suppose it could have been the problem with Bailey including "epicaricacy."

There are plenty of errors in some of the online dictionaries, due to problems scanning the original printed versions. There were dicussed in this thread.

"Dord" is a fairly well-known error and is shown as true in Snopes.
