I'm puzzled about the suffix used in the word, "carburetor." According to Etymology Online, "...from carb- + -uret, an archaic suffix formed from Mod.L. -uretum to parallel Fr. words in -ure.
Are there any other English words that use this suffix? I can't think of any.

According to the OED there are some other words, but I'm not familiar with them: azoturet, hydruret, phosphuret, sulphuret, nitruret, ioduret, seleniuret, arseniuret, bromuret, chloruret, cyanuret, floruret, hydroguret, telluret.
