We talk about pronunciations a lot in the limerick game, but one came up between Shu and me. How do you pronounce "vase?" It could be VAZE or VACE or VOZ, right?

The last one would be closest but it isn't quite right for me. I suppose - without using IPA it would be something like "Vahz".

And because I have a non-rhotic accent it would rhyme with bars and jars.

Ah, yes, "vahz" would have been better, you are right. I should learn IPA, I know.
