I received an email yesterday from the organiser of poetry event in my home city. It said
I am wondering who the last sentence is meant for. "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

I thought you were going to ask about the word "facilitate". I haven't seen "facilitate" used that way before. I'd use "accommodate." I imagine he added that last sentence to ease the minds of readers who would worry about those who didn't get the email in time and would come to closed doors.
