In a department store, a perfume lady tried to spray me with a bottle of something. I slapped it out of her hand and dismissed her.

True story. Yesterday the doorbell rang and on my porch was a guy with a clipboard.

"Hello," he said. "I'm John with XYZ Pest Control. I'm here to offer you a treatment..."

"I don't want any," I interrupted.

"Don't you have any pests around your house?" he asked.

"Only the ones that ring my bell and try to sell me stuff," I said.

Shouldn't DISSECTION be "putting together" (dis-section), not "picking apart"?

From the Book of Mormon:
Ether 2:16 - 21
...

18 And it came to pass that the brother of Jared cried unto the Lord, saying: O Lord, I have performed the work which thou hast commanded me, and I have made the barges according as thou hast directed me.

19 And behold, O Lord, in them there is no light; whither shall we steer? And also we shall perish, for in them we cannot breathe, save it is the air which is in them; therefore we shall perish.

20 And the Lord said unto the brother of Jared: Behold, thou shalt make a hole in the top, and also in the bottom;

Speaking of deloused, if you undertake that process aren't you actually being deliced? Seems a shame to waste all that bug juice just to kill one.

Suppose the bugs find they like the stuff and claim it is delicious.

Reminds me of that song, "It's delightful, it's delicious, it's delovely." That should mean that the object of the song is ugly.
